A Dialogue Between Sounds and Movements

The Concept behind Us Moves
The idea of Motion is fascinating, the wish to work with motion sensor technology and movement was the driving force to create this performance named "Us Moves", another reference to movements.
Among other thoughts, two main elements came out and became part of this project:
- All the sound design was originally recorded movement sounds (steps, running, clothes moving, heartbeat, skin, hair..)
- It was very important that the performance takes place in front of an audience, to create this movement of people gathering in one place. This was a very special thing to do at that.

I met Dune 9 years ago in Bordeaux, and from the beginning Music, Dance and Arts in general always played a significant role in our relationship.
A couple of years ago, we met again in Berlin.
Last Year, we started working together on this project and spent many months crafting the performance.
Dune
She comes from France and came to Berlin 4 years ago to explore new horizons. She has a contemporary dance background and is now a singer, music maker, photographer, and visual artist. She studied vocals at BIMM Berlin, visual arts at the BAI, and is now studying Electronic music performance at Catalyst Berlin.

Hošek Contemporary.
